by Update 4/18/20: For clarification, this fix is only for a working version 3 of the BTS ARMY Bomb Lightstick that doesn’t flash blue when the lightstick switch is pushed down to Bluetooth mode, but will still light up during normal mode. It’s a glitch in the first wave of the series.

I’ve meant to post this for some time. Most visitors are reading the BTS ARMY Bomb Ver. 3 review and looking for a Bluetooth connection fix. I shared the ultimate Bluetooth fix in my #LoveYourselfInChicago post , but I’m bringing it to the forefront in a separate post!
My previous method for fixing the BTS lightstick worked until I started shaking my ARMY Bomb. I then had to go to the Chicago tour stop pairing station. All they did was put a soft circular pad at the bottom of the battery unit, lifting it to complete the circuit:
BAM! I was able to connect my ARMY Bomb and throttle that poor thing around for TWO CONCERTS! It works!

Worked for me. Light wasn’t going into the blue flash, but unscrewing and re screwing the cap on allowed it to have bluetooth functionality.

A separate Army Bomb wasn’t changing colors alongside the concert, but updating the weverse and Light Stick apps allowed it to connect. Hope the extra info helps!
Bruuuuuuh, connecting to Bang Bang Con couldn’t be any harder. Thanks for the update. I had to switch from my iPhone to my Samsung tablet to get the pairing to work 😫
I’m having the same problem since last night. Before the concert, I connected it to the app to check my batteries and it was fine. But when it came to the concert, the bluetooth on it was not lighting up. I tried again now but still nothing. It tried to do the unscrewing and screwing thing and it worked but then I turned it off to check again but then wouldnt work. ahhhh
So, a couple things I think I’m hearing: the Bomb worked fine before connecting it to Weverse but now you’re trying to test the bluetooth connection via the lightstick app and now the bluetooth doesn’t work? I have to admit that my ARMY bomb was temperamental. I connected it to Weverse on my iPhone. Although it flashed blue throughout the steps to connect it, the Bomb quit lighting uo once connected. So I had to move over to my Samsung tablet and it immediately started flashing colors.
Yeah, I also have the same little pad on my battery unit. It worked completely fine before the concert started but when I tried to connect to weverse, the bluetooth didn’t light up when I switched the mode and now I’m trying figure out how to fix it. I’ve used it for three concerts and this has never happened before.
Wait, your Bomb doesn’t flash blue at all on it’s own when you switch to bluetooth mode?? With out the apps and with fresh batteries, when you’re only turning bluetooth mode on, the Bomb doesn’t flash blue???
So i’ll try to switch to bluetooth mode but the Bomb doesn’t even light up blue as it’s supposed to when it switches. It will still light up on the normal mode tho. I think the bluetooth function on the bomb is broken.
Mmmm, I see. Here’s a test I just did (cause sometime I have to press firmly on my switch to ensure bluetooth mode comes on) unscrew the bottom of the lightstick, turn the switch to regular mode, then press upward on the battery pack along the edges (not the cushion) and see if the white light turns on. If so, keep pressing on the battery pack and switch to bluetooth mode. See if the light turns blue. If so, try putting more cushion below the cage just to hoist it up further. Bet the cushion is just flattening and doesn’t have the same height from all the dancing, shaking, throttling the Bomb to the music lol!

My army bomb doesn’t even turn blue when I put it on the Bluetooth mode… if I put it on the normal mode the lightskin will just go on and stuff but when I put it on the Bluetooth mode it doesn’t do anything
Did you try pushing the battery cage up with a cushion like described in the post? Or the physical test in the comments?
How do i connect i to my phone.?..because ive been try it but it doesn’t work:(((
Hello! I’m not sure of the question. As long as you have the up-to-date version of the lightstick app and the bluetooth mode works on your ARMY Bomb, you should be able to establish a connection.

Light stick is turning on though when in bluetooth mode it does not blink blue i tried doing whats on comments its still now working helppppp!!
Julia, did you mean it’s still not working? I interpret this to mean that after pushing the battery cage upwards (like in the suggested test in previous comments), you weren’t able to establish a stable blue pulsing light. If that is the case, there is damage done to your Bluetooth mode.
You may want to try the test (from the previous comments) one more time to see if the Bluetooth mode actually functions and that the issue is an unstable connection. Then just add a cushion at the bottom of the battery cage like in the post. Hope this helps.

I wanted to reconnect my army bomb 4 years after I bought it at the O2 Arena concert, and tried this and it worked! Bluetooth was a bit faulty from the start but after sitting on my bookcase it didn’t work at all until I tried this! Thank you <3

Could you please explain further what button inside? I’m having the exact same issue as you, no matter what it won’t blink blue and I’m trying to get it to work for the on:e concert today 😔

When the my Army Bomb is on bluetoothmode it blinks blue light (as it should), but when i’m connecting to for eksample official lightstick app, Werverse or the concert it either says it it can’t connect or it is connected but nothing happends – it’s still blinking blue light. Can you help me?

Hi everyone who has the same problem with army bomb without the blue flash. All you got to do is keep pushing up and down the off and bluetooth button. its a problem of connection, soon she will be working, maybe if you turn her off maybe she wont connect again, but all you gotta do is do the same thing. Mine wasnt working, but after i tried this it finally started again 😀 Now connects to the BTS Official light stick app and Weverse as well 😀
My lightstick doesn’t connect to my phone but it can connect to other peoples phone. It flashes blue and works just fine. It even has new batteries that I just put in. I tried to power off my phone, but that doesn’t help either
I just used my lightstick last bbc and it worked. I am checking it rn to use it tomorrow but it wont light up in the standard mode but i can connect it to my phone and use it. The colors white and blue (and colors near blue) are not working :(((
It still doesnt work at all. I tried that and it lit up blue and flashed but connecting wise it just didnt work at all. I do have a Samsung phone so maybe its because of that? Im going insane
